Bighorn produces a blue-grey, fine leafed, dense, low-growing turf of good quality. Bighorn excels
where mowing, water, and fertilization requirements are low or non-existent. It has excellent winter
hardiness, excellent shade adaptation and spring green up.
Bighorn is a great choice for golf course roughs, highway shoulders, parks, and expansive areas that
can be costly to maintain and where wear is not a factor. Bighorn performs well in a wide range of
soils where light irrigation is available. It will withstand moderate drought conditions. Ideal soil pH is
from 5.5 to 8.0.
