Sitka Turf type tall fescue has been
selected for overall improved turf quality and
superior disease resistance. An enduring tall
fescue that is a low growing, deep rooted variety.
Sitka is an ideal selection for homeowners,
sod producers, lawn care professionals and other
turfgrass professionals. Sitka is adaptive to the
traditional tall fescue regions of the United
States; West Coast, Rocky Mountain region,
Transition zone, Southeast and the East coast.
Seeding Rates
A seeding rate of 350-450 pounds per acre or 8-
10 pounds per 1000 square feet. Half of those
rates for overseeding. A seeding depth of 1/8”-
1/4” is best for establishment. Germination will
occur after 7-10 days under ideal conditions.
First mowing should occur within 30 days from
time of seeding.
